Marine Propulsion Systems Sales Manager Job Summary This pivotal role involves developing new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and supporting technical sales initiatives to drive revenue growth across the Gulf Coast and Houston areas. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to deliver tailored technical solutions that meet customer needs and expand our market presence. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for the assigned territory. Identify, target, and secure new customers within marine, offshore, shipbuilding, and industrial markets. Conduct technical sales presentations, customer visits, trade shows, and provide field support. Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and follow-up activities. Maintain and grow existing customer accounts and relationships. Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements. Offer technical support and serve as the primary customer interface throughout the sales process. Keep accurate CRM records, including forecasts, call reports, and sales activities. Assist in annual sales forecasting and territory planning. Contribute to the development of sales strategies and market expansion initiatives. Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, and trade events. Support adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical or capital equipment sales. Strong background in marine, offshore, industrial, petrochemical, shipbuilding, or related technical industries is preferred. Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical products and solutions. Proven experience managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Nice to Have Skills Experience with marine systems, offshore equipment, shipbuilding or vessel operations. Knowledge of industrial mechanical or electrical equipment. Background in capital equipment sales or technical engineering support environments. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
