Local: $1,000–$2,100/week, Based on Experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine imaging, including PET/CT procedures, in an outpatient oncology setting. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, accurate imaging, and proper handling of radiopharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.

• Active New York State Department of Health license, as required.

• Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification.

• Experience in adult outpatient clinic and hospital settings.

• Experience with PET imaging and Siemens equipment.

• Proficiency in IV initiation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of radiation safety and radioactive material handling, storage, and disposal.

• Ability to follow infection control and isolation precautions.

• Strong communication, patient care, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (N) certification.

• ARRT (PET) certification.

• Previous Charge Technologist experience.

• Experience administering Pluvicto (theranostic injections).

• Experience with Epic, NMIS/Pinestar, and Omnicell systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET/CT scans.

• Prepare patients for imaging and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.

• Operate Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT equipment and associated hot lab equipment.

• Prepare, handle, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to applicable protocols and authorization.

• Start and maintain IV access as required for imaging procedures.

• Follow radiation safety standards and radioactive material handling procedures.

• Apply isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to clinical concerns.

• Maintain accurate imaging records using Epic and NMIS/Pinestar systems.

• Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain equipment quality, procedural documentation, and departmental safety standards.
