About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST required Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination of various items including tools and scopes - Experience in assembly of instruments across all service lines - Knowledge of sterilization processes including sterrad and steam - Familiarity with high-level disinfection and endoscope reprocessing - Experience with Censitrac tracking system Description: We are seeking candidates experienced in all areas of the sterile processing department. Candidates must be proficient in the decontamination of instruments including drills, scopes, and other surgical tools. Candidates should demonstrate experience in the assembly of all types of instruments across multiple service lines such as trauma and ambulatory surgery. Knowledge of the sterilization process using both sterrad and steam methods is essential. Experience with high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing is required. Familiarity with the Censitrac tracking system is important. Additional experience in sterile storage and as an OR liaison is preferred. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively as a clinical liaison between the operating rooms and sterile processing facilities. The role requires flexibility to float to different reprocessing sites and to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation across various locations. Maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure the safe and effective reuse of medical supplies and instruments is a critical responsibility of this position. Candidates will ensure the proper packaging and delivery of sterilized instruments to points of use. This position plays a significant role in maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
