We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Design fire protection sprinkler systems, including fire pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, with accuracy and detail needed for proper field installation.

• Submit design plans to proper department leadership for approval and obtain permits as required.

• Calculate figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production.

• Prepare submittal packages and subsequent correspondence to achieve design approval from proper authorities, general contractors and owners.

• Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication.

• Perform field surveys to ensure design is appropriate for structure.

• Assist field personnel with design related installation issues.

• Prepare and submit final job close-out documents after final acceptance testing.

• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); NICET Level II in Water-based Fire Protection Layout with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Computer Skills

AutoCAD, or Hydro CAD, Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screen, Background check and MVR check.

Must have reliable transportation.
