General Maintenance Technician

Location: Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, AK Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM TDL Staffing is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to support military housing at Fort Wainwright. In this role, you'll complete service requests, perform change‑of‑occupancy maintenance, and help keep military homes safe, functional, and move‑in ready. Key Responsibilities Complete service requests, change-of-occupancy maintenance, and other property maintenance assignments. Perform general maintenance and repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, doors, windows, and appliances. Install and connect household appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other gas and electric appliances. Transport equipment, materials, furnishings, and appliances to job sites. Repair and fabricate window and door screens and frames. Remove and replace damaged flooring, drywall, and other building materials as needed. Respond to on‑call after‑hours emergency and urgent maintenance requests. Complete and submit required paperwork, work orders, and repair documentation using company‑provided mobile devices. Maintain your assigned work vehicle, tools, and inventory. Provide professional customer service while working with residents, coworkers, contractors, and the public. High school diploma or GED equivalent Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must be able to gain access to Fort Wainwright (REAL ID required) 1–3 years of relevant work experience Proficiency in one or more of the following: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliance repair Ability to provide basic hand tools for daily work Basic computer skills, including familiarity with web‑based applications Ability to communicate effectively in English and complete required documentation Vocational or technical training is a plus Background screening is part of the hiring process Must support a drug‑free work environment TDL Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). #J-18808-Ljbffr
