Material Handler

The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting production operations by accurately handling, packaging, and staging equipment and parts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position focuses on maintaining high quality standards, meeting daily production goals, and ensuring all materials are properly processed and recorded in internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels in all material handling activities.
• Package and unpackage units, ensuring items are properly protected and prepared for production.
• Sort, stage, and prepare equipment and parts for production according to established procedures.
• Perform accurate data entry into internal systems using a PC.
• Work efficiently in a high-speed, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Consistently meet or exceed daily production goals at 80% or higher.
• Put away incoming equipment and parts into designated storage locations.
• Pull equipment and parts from inventory to support production and shipping needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in shipping, material handling, or warehouse operations.
• Ability to perform pick and pack tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Strong attention to detail in a production and warehouse environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, high-volume setting.
• Reliability in meeting daily production goals and performance expectations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with data entry in warehouse or production environments.
• Comfort working with inventory, equipment, and parts in a structured process.
• Ability to maintain an organized work area and follow established workflows.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled environment that supports comfort and efficiency throughout the workday. The position requires standing for the duration of the shift and working on a 2nd shift schedule from 4:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The work involves using computers for data entry and handling equipment and parts in a warehouse and production setting, with an emphasis on maintaining an organized and orderly work station.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
