Job Title: Human Resources Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to coordinate and manage all aspects of the new hire onboarding process. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth transition for new employees from offer acceptance through their first 90 days, facilitating new hire orientation, and assisting with required documentation. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage all aspects of the new hire onboarding process from offer acceptance through the employee’s first 90 days. Facilitate new hire orientation and assist with the completion of required documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees regarding onboarding questions. Ensure completion of employment verification, background checks, and other necessary documentation. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure new employees have appropriate system access, equipment, and workspace. Track onboarding progress and maintain accurate records in UKG. Assist with employee status changes, transfers, and other HR administrative duties. Partner with Talent Acquisition, and work closely with payroll, IT, and security teams. Essential Skills Experience in onboarding and HR administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of HR systems and employee relations. Experience with UKG is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 2-4 years of HR experience. Experience with employee onboarding, HR operations, and workforce services. Healthcare HR experience is preferred but not required. Work Environment This position operates from 8 am to 5 pm, fully onsite at the HR building on a hospital campus. The role offers the potential to become permanent based on performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
