Position Overview 4A Consulting is seeking an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to manage day-to-day HR operations and support our growing workforce. This is a hands-on role covering employee lifecycle management, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, HR systems, and workforce operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, employee-focused, comfortable working across multiple priorities, and able to build efficient HR processes as the company grows. Key Responsibilities Manage employee onboarding, changes, transfers, and offboarding Maintain employee information, documentation, and records in ADP and internal HR systems Manage and coordinate biweekly payroll processing , including employee changes, deductions, timekeeping exceptions, and payroll validation Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and work with benefit providers and brokers Support PTO, sick leave, and other leave administration Monitor timesheets, employee classifications, labor allocations, and payroll-related discrepancies Partner with Finance on payroll, billing, invoicing, labor reporting, and employee-related financial information Ensure employee and timesheet information required for customer invoicing is accurate and submitted timely Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers Support employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns Coordinate 30/60/90-day new-hire check-ins and employee engagement activities Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee communications Support compliance with federal, state, and applicable employment requirements Produce workforce, payroll, benefits, leave, and HR reporting for leadership Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes Partner with Recruiting, Finance, Operations, and leadership on workforce needs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience Hands-on experience with ADP or a comparable HR/payroll platform Experience supporting payroll and employee benefits administration Strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, and employment practices Experience working with timekeeping and employee workforce data Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a growing organization Preferred Qualifications Experience in government contracting, IT consulting, or professional services Experience supporting a multi-state workforce Experience coordinating payroll, timekeeping, labor allocation, and billing processes Experience with HR systems implementation, automation, or process improvement SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification This role requires U.S. citizenship due to documented client, contract, clearance, export control, or legal requirements.
