FSP Associate Manager Clinical Operations

Associate Manager overseeing daily clinical operations team management and professional development at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Responsible for staff leadership, training delivery, performance evaluation, and alignment with company procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage induction and orientation programs for new clinical operations staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and on-site/remote project assessments (PAVs) of team members
• Deliver training on SOPs, WPDs, and local requirements; identify and address training gaps
• Oversee staff administration including hiring, goal setting, corrective action, and separations
• Monitor and escalate quality issues; support audit responses and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification
• 0–5 years of related experience in clinical operations or similar field
• 1+ year of direct leadership or management responsibility
• Knowledge of clinical trial monitoring systems (CTMS, Preclarus, Clarity)
• Familiarity with risk-based monitoring approaches and quality assurance processes
• Strong coaching, performance management, and staff development capabilities
