Administrative Assistant III-Lead

The Driver Control Section, within the Division of Motor Vehicles, exists to administer motor vehicle statutory requirements affecting driver's privilege, to compile and house motor vehicle related data and documents through data entry, electronic imaging, and filing; to provide copies, reports, and information pertaining to motor vehicle data and documents upon request from law enforcement and governmental agencies and; to process requests from the general public and collect appropriate fees.

We're hiring a detail oriented and organized individual to be our Administrative Assistant III-Lead in our Mail & Retrieval Services work unit in Driver Control! In the Lakewood office, use your computer skills to input data and generate reports from databases and spreadsheets to ensure accurate recording of information. Your great attention to detail will ensure DOR remains compliant with policies and customer's documents are accurate. Use your leadership skills to ensure work tasks are completed and the unit is trained. If you're ready to contribute to the Department of Revenue's success, then this job may be for you!

Primary Duties:

  • Lead Worker - Scheduling work and establishing work standards, acts as the supporting supervisor in the assignment of work tasks and documenting performance management for the unit, may act in Unit Supervisor's absentia, may assist in testing and resolving system concerns, and initiates the hiring process, interviewing applicants and recommending hires.
  • Training, Monitoring and Assigning Duties - Trains staff on duties, procedures and equipment, assigns and monitors tasks and work flow, identifies areas where increased efficiency may be needed, maintains and disseminates procedures, assists in testing systems, and prepares documents.
  • Statistics and Reporting - Collects, records and maintains daily, weekly, monthly and yearly statistics for reports, updates spreadsheets, maintains logs, and provides analysis on data and reports.
