Accountant

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The accountant will work closely with the Controller, Project Accounting team, Project Managers, and operational leadership to maintain financial integrity across construction and service operations. Responsibilities Prepare and post monthly journal entries. Perform monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Assist with financial statement preparation. Analyze job cost reports and investigate accounting variances. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed. Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules. Prepare sales tax and other regulatory filings. Support annual audits and provide requested documentation. Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate project financial reporting. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase accounting efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. 3–5 years of accounting experience. Construction accounting experience strongly preferred. Experience with Sage, COINS, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems preferred. Knowledge of GAAP. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Commercial construction accounting. Job cost accounting. Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting. Construction billing and project accounting. Experience working with Project Managers and Operations teams.
