• Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department, including supervising staff, developing schedules, and ensuring efficient meal service delivery.
• Manage food and supply inventory by forecasting needs, ordering products, and maintaining adequate stock levels to support resident dining services.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of nutritious meals, snacks, and special menu items in accordance with recipes, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.
• Ensure food quality by monitoring cooking processes, portioning and presenting meals, and verifying proper preparation, temperature control, and taste standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment by enforcing sanitation practices, overseeing cleaning procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable health regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred  
• ServSafe or CFPM designation certificate preferred, but can also obtain upon hire
• One year minimum prior leadership experience in a commercial kitchen setting
• Prior leadership experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate, read and write fluently in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
