Overview Physician Radiologist-Interventional at Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (Oklahoma City VA Medical Center). Full-time interventional radiologist; collaborate with vascular surgery; teaching medical students and residents. Responsibilities Provide patient care in the hospital setting to inpatients and outpatients, performing diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization, radiofrequency or other forms of ablation, drainages, biliary and urinary procedures, and biopsies. Maintain expertise in radiation safety and radiation physics; ensure injury prevention and safety of procedures. Work with a fully integrated PACS and voice recognition system; be highly visible and accessible to patients and referring physicians. Collaborate with Vascular Surgery within an outstanding vascular/endovascular program; participate in teaching and supervision of medical students and residents. On-call rotation required; ensure coverage and patient care as assigned. Meet additional duties as developed or agreed upon; participate in education and quality initiatives. Qualifications Board certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology; minimum of one year ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology; training and experience in vascular and non-vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. Current, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state/territory/DC. Residency training approved by the VA in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification; pathways include ACGME/AOA-accredited residencies or approved alternative combinations with post-training practice requirements. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) The position offers the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan repayment program. Eligibility requirements and award amounts (up to $200,000) and the applicable eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office after review of the EDRP application.
