About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour Rotations Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a related field License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting system experience required Description: Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room. Shifts available in both day and night rotations. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Must be available to work every other holiday if needed. Accepts first-time travelers. Floating within skillset may be required. Patient ratios are 1:5 for adults and geriatrics. Expected clinical skills include IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, emergency care, and triage. Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency diagnosis is preferred. Charting experience in EPIC is a hard requirement. Additional skills in managing ventilated patients and central line care are required. This position involves working with interdisciplinary support teams and specialized equipment. Candidates must be able to handle a variety of emergency situations and diagnoses.
