Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVitria on the Squarelocated in Columbus, Ohio is searching for an Event Captain to join our team!As an Event Captain, your primary responsibilities evolve around the guest experience. In Food Service, there are both service and product knowledge expectations, with a significant focus on maintaining a hospitable mindset. The team serves a combination of both Food & Beverage and does so for a variety of elevated events.Essential Functions:Leads on-going training and supervision of event staff in proper set up, serving and clean up procedures, uniform standards, and proper Hospitality etiquette.Organizes event staff by conducting pre-shift meetings and reviewing the specific needs of each event including service procedures, set up, menus, order of service, special requests, closing duties, etc.Aid in the service of food and beverage to guests as specified in the BEO, continually stocking and maintaining items to meet the demands of the guests while adhering to all BEO presentation standards.Anticipate and be aware of guest needs after and during an event in order to provide high quality service and high guest satisfaction.Assign duties to the event staff to prepare for present and future events.Assist in ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.Oversee event functions and provide support to break stations/dining staff as required.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Physical Requirements:These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
