About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: 2 years of Emergency Department experience Description: The Emergency Department treats an average of 63 patients daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 based on acuity. Clinicians are expected to float within their assigned zone. Travelers must secure housing that allows them to meet these floating requirements. A week of orientation is mandatory for clinicians. There is a mix of ER holds within the ER. There are no separate psych/seclusion rooms available. All RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. RNs will be trained to perform Point of Care lab testing. The leadership team will create the schedule based on staffing needs. Weekend and holiday requirements are every other. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
