Mechanical Inspector

Mechanical InspectorPay: $21-27/hr. Location: Minneapolis, MN Schedule: Full-Time, Temp to Hire, Monday - Friday: 6am-2:30pm Key Responsibilities:Technical Inspection & Verification: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints to inspect parts, verifying dimensions against quality control plans.Defect Identification: Perform thorough visual and dimensional checks to identify and log anomalies such as burrs, scratches, cosmetic defects, or size variations.Advanced Equipment Operation: Program and operate CMM (using PC-DMIS) and Vision Inspection systems (Micro-Vu or equivalent), while ensuring all tools are properly maintained and calibrated.Documentation & Reporting: Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), process final inspection certifications, and maintain accurate records following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Process Improvement: Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to track trends and ensure consistent quality standards throughout production.Qualifications & Skills:Technical Mastery: Strong foundation in shop math, machining techniques, and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Inspection Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with standard mechanical tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages).Software & Equipment Skills:CMM: PC-DMIS (programming and operating)Vision Systems: Micro-Vu or equivalentSPC Tools: QC-CALC, Minitab, or SigmaXLStandards & Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.PrideStaff Hiring Requirements:Must be 18+ Years OldMust be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background CheckMust be Willing to Submit to a Drug ScreenMust be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S.Enhance your career with a full-time job, with a great company, competitive wages, and let PrideStaff support you in your future employment endeavors.
