Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist. This full-time role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Ray, while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety during radiation therapy and imaging procedures by minimizing risks such as electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- Conduct pre-procedure equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal functioning.
- Prepare and instruct patients for radiation therapy procedures, determining the best anatomical positioning and shielding.
- Verify prescribed ionizing radiation dosages for accuracy before treatments.
- Maintain strict adherence to medical and surgical asepsis protocols.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
- State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams and documented training in diagnostic CT procedures.
- Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and nuclear medicine technology (ARRT or NMTCB).
- At least one year of radiologic/imaging experience.
- CT registry certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Proficiency with major CT/X-Ray equipment brands such as GE, Siemens, and Toshiba.
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Specific experience and training in CT imaging highly valued.
- Maintain all regulatory and licensure requirements.
- Demonstrate punctuality and complete tasks within designated timelines.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with patients, guests, and staff, fostering a courteous and respectful environment.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation typically starts between the beginning and midpoint of the salary range, based on qualifications and experience, with annual incremental increases.
