ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist. This full-time role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Ray, while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety during radiation therapy and imaging procedures by minimizing risks such as electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Conduct pre-procedure equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal functioning.
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiation therapy procedures, determining the best anatomical positioning and shielding.
• Verify prescribed ionizing radiation dosages for accuracy before treatments.
• Maintain strict adherence to medical and surgical asepsis protocols.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams and documented training in diagnostic CT procedures.
• Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and nuclear medicine technology (ARRT or NMTCB).
• At least one year of radiologic/imaging experience.
• CT registry certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Proficiency with major CT/X-Ray equipment brands such as GE, Siemens, and Toshiba.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Specific experience and training in CT imaging highly valued.
