Urgent Care NP/PA

Seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide full-time Urgent Care coverage. The provider will work independently across multiple clinic locations, evaluating and treating patients of all ages with common urgent care conditions and minor injuries.

Compensation: Hourly: $125/hr, Orientation: $125/hr.

Monday–Sunday

8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Practice Setting

Urgent Care

Outpatient

Provider will rotate between multiple clinic locations within approximately 30 miles of each other.

Drive-in candidates only (within a 2–3 hour radius)

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries

Perform suturing, wound care, incision and drainage (I&D)

Apply splints and manage orthopedic injuries

Interpret X-rays and EKGs

Draw blood and start IVs

Treat patients of all ages, including pediatric patients (6 months and older)

Independently manage patient care with remote physician support available when needed

Refer high-acuity patients to the emergency department as appropriate

Patient Volume

Approximately 3–4 patients per hour

EMR:Epic

Support Staff

Medical Assistants

Radiology Technologists

Clinics staffed with 1–3 providers daily

Remote physician available for escalation when needed

Requirements

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Active Pennsylvania license

DEA and CSR

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Minimum 1 year of experience

At least 2 years of Urgent Care experience or 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience

Comfortable treating patients ages 6 months and older

Comfortable performing:

Suturing and wound care

Incision and drainage (I&D)

Splinting

X-rays and EKG interpretation

Blood draws and IV placement

Able to work independently

Drive-in candidate located within a 2–3 hour radius

Additional Information

Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
