JOB DESCRIPTION: SUPERVISOR

Oversee services provided to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other conditions. Home care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite.
Home Care Supervisors ensure that employees deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards. (Spanish Speaking Preferred)

Requirements

Qualifications/Education

High school graduate or equivalent.
Current driver’s license.
Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage
2-5 years of experience in home care, healthcare, or case management
Experience supervising staff
Knowledge of Illinois department of aging (IDoA) programs is highly preferred
Experience with Medicaid waiver programs or managed care organizations (MCOs)

Knowledge

A successful home care supervisor should understand:

IDoA regulations and provider requirements
Care planning and service coordination
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
Documentation standards
HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Illinois home care worker program requirements
Incident reporting and abuse/neglect reporting
