Attorney for AI Model Training

Help shape how AI systems understand and apply legal principles by designing evaluation rubrics, performing complex legal research and document analysis, and translating litigation strategy into machine-readable guidance. This contract, remote role contributes subject-matter legal expertise to improve AI performance on discovery, motion practice, and case strategy tasks.

• Design and implement robust legal rubrics for AI-driven document review and analysis processes.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft complex memoranda to guide AI model training and evaluation.
• Analyze large volumes of litigation documents to identify issues, trends, and data points that inform model improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert legal insights into actionable requirements for AI development.
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of AI outputs, providing targeted feedback to enhance discovery management and motion practice capabilities.
• Develop case strategy frameworks and motion practice templates that can be used to train machine learning models in legal contexts.
• Continuously review and refine rubric criteria to align with evolving legal standards and best practices.

• Juris Doctor degree, with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, including managing document-intensive cases through discovery and dispositive motions.
• Strong record of complex legal research and writing, including issue spotting and document analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in case strategy development and motion practice.
• Proven ability to manage discovery processes and oversee complex legal document review projects.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable and effective working in remote, digital-first environments, with basic technological fluency.

• Law Review or journal editorial experience, including substantive editing and cite-checking, is highly preferred.
