Certified Dietary Manager

Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role is essential in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and overall quality of care. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of dietary services, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation Ensure compliance with Title 22, CMS, and state dietary regulations Plan, implement, and evaluate menus in collaboration with a Registered Dietitian Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (infection control, HACCP, etc.) Monitor food and supply inventory; manage ordering and cost controls Conduct audits and ensure readiness for state surveys Address resident dietary needs, preferences, and special diets Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning Ensure a positive dining experience for residents Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required (or eligibility) ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain) Minimum 2 years of dietary management experience , preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition regulations Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting Familiarity with electronic dietary or healthcare systems Bilingual skills (a plus, depending on population served) Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) Opportunities for growth and advancement Why Join Us?
