Role Overview We are seeking a Product Manager, AI to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Empyrean's customer-facing platform that sits between our core calculation engines (ALM, CECL, and others) and the decision-making workflows of bank and credit union finance teams. AI is foundation to it, not a bolt-on. This is a zero-to-one role in a regulated financial services environment. The right candidate has shipped AI-powered products in production — with real evaluation rigor, agentic design, and the judgment to know when not to use an LLM. Experience with machine learning–based products is a significant plus. This role reports to the Director of Product Management, AI, with access to the CPO. What You Own Product Strategy & Roadmap — Define and execute the Catalyst roadmap from discovery through launch and iteration; own Catalyst as a standalone product with its own commercial model and GTM Customer Discovery — Maintain a standing cadence of direct interviews with bank and credit union finance and risk stakeholders; turn insights into requirements and change direction when the data says to AI Product Execution — Design multi-step agentic workflows with Empyrean’s AI innovation lab; establish evaluation standards (golden datasets, prompt versioning, human-in-the-loop); apply ML and GenAI appropriately for each use case Cross-Functional Leadership — Align engineering, design, and GTM without escalating every conflict; collaborate with peer PMs (ALM, CECL) to integrate their outputs into workflows Launch & Iteration — Drive GTM across Empyrean’s 600-institution customer base; measure adoption and outcomes, then adapt What We’re Looking For 5–8+ years of PM experience with end-to-end ownership (discovery → delivery → launch → iteration), direct customer contact, quantified outcomes, and demonstrated 0→1 experience B2B SaaS background with exposure to enterprise buyers; comfort with shipping fast in a growth-stage or PE/VC-backed environment Shipped AI in production — LLM or ML-powered features that real users rely on. ML-based product experience is a significant plus. Must be able to distinguish ML from GenAI, navigate hallucination/latency/non-determinism in production, and defend a decision not to use AI #J-18808-Ljbffr
