CT Technologist - Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a 4x10.0 schedule: Monday to Thursday from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST. On-call and holiday work may be required based on unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging to patients. The role includes patient interaction, safety compliance, and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
• Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging and patient preparation.
• Explain the scanning process to patients to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs as necessary and position patients safely.
• Maintain thorough documentation within EPIC, ensuring images are processed correctly.
• Ensure the scanning facility is clean and safe for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• NYS licensure obtained prior to starting the position.
• Two years of experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, American Heart Association only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification preferred; willingness to obtain during orientation.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.
