Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures, located at a healthcare facility in Hudson, FL. This role involves providing direct patient care in a level II trauma center with a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. The position is suitable for experienced OR nurses with a strong background in cardiovascular surgery, willing to work a day shift with scheduled hours to support patient care and surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/01/2026 to 12/01/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in RN, at least 5+ years of cardiovascular operating room experience, main OR experience, willingness to float to main OR, candidates without these skills will not be considered
• Preferred Qualifications: Nurses with scrub experience and Meditech electronic medical record familiarity
• Unit Information:
  • Bed Capacity: 309 beds
  • Units: 12 suite operating rooms, 2 cardiovascular operating rooms
  • Staff: 4 RNs and 4 CSTs per shift, day shift; on-call for night shifts
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 for critical procedures
  • Equipment & Technology: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, Meditech
  • Procedures Performed: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), valve replacement, thoracic and vascular surgeries
  • Personality Fit: Flexible team players who are adaptable and collaborative are ideal
  • Policies: Unit policies and guidelines available upon request
  • Additional Information: This role offers an opportunity to work with experienced staff using the latest technology and equipment; schedule options are designed for flexibility in a highly competitive market. The traveler will be scheduled according to facility policy and expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.
