Registered Nurse Endoscopy Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery both physically and emotionally. Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist. Monitor patients closely in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), assessing their recovery and vital signs. Provide comprehensive patient education regarding postoperative care and expectations. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition between preoperative and postoperative phases. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Assist with the development and implementation of nursing care plans. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
