"Leading the World with Innovative Solutions that Enhance Lives" Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): Drives the manufacturing vision with all manufacturing operations in North America, including Hourly Associates, Operational Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Team Leaders, Facilities Management. Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): Serve as a team member within the Clinical Care Engineering group providing technical support to develop new medical devices and improve existing products. Main Activities/Responsibilities:

Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): Serve as a team member within the Clinical Care Engineering group providing technical support to develop new medical devices and improve existing products. Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain design history documentation in accordance with established new product development procedures.
- Construct functional mechanical/electrical prototype systems throughout the design process.
- Assist with qualification test activities to ensure that products comply with technical specifications and requirements. Generate test protocols and document test results.
- Coordinate with external resources and suppliers for component and subsystem sourcing.
- Interact with internal cross-functional departments to complete project related activities.
- Participate in project and technical design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with quality control policies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Experience with all levels of documentation associated with new product development
- Team-oriented and capable of working in a multi-disciplinary and creative environment
- Highly motivated and capable of setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision
- Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
- This position will work under the supervision of the Manager, Engineering - Mechanical
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience: 0-4 years of relevant product development experience
- Experience with 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to read, understand and produce engineering drawings
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Familiar with basic machining and fabrication principles
- Familiar with injection molding and plastic part assembly process and methods
- Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience
- Experience with all levels of procedures and activities associated with new medical product development
- Experience with development of medical devices in accordance which applicable ISO or FDA regulatory requirements
