About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Aptiva Corp to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Redding, California, 96001!

• Unit: Family Birth Center. (L&D RP)
• # beds: 19 PP , 12 L&D, 2 OR's, 1 PACU
• Ratios: 1 to 4 to 1 to 1. Follow CA ratios
• Shift: 12 hr Nights, EOW, First to Float
• Tele: No Tele. Use Phillips for FHM system
• Vents: No
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Laborist (OB Dr in house 24/7)
• IV Team: No
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Adv-AWHONN
• EMR: Cerner & Fetal Link for surveillance
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
• Holidays: Work in with the perm staff holiday rotation
• Floating: Peds - would take same pts that they would take on PP (couplets). NICU - would only take feeders & growers if they had this experience in the past
• Circulating is not required & they have staff that can do this.
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Transfer out if baby has known congenital defect that will require immediate surgery. They take low & high risk deliveries (Have a Level III NICU)
• Active RN CA License required. 
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required.
