Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite, primarily in patients' homes throughout Carson City. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to address patient needs or clinic requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on enhancing their mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Educate patients on body mechanics, proper exercise techniques, and home exercise programs tailored to their recovery needs.
• Administer therapeutic modalities like electrical stimulation and ultrasound while adhering to safety and clinical standards.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall physical capabilities.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized and ready for efficient therapy sessions.
• Actively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate care effectively.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation to maintain motivation and engagement.
• Adhere to professional ethics and standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and upholding their rights throughout treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, ranging from elderly patients recovering from surgery to younger individuals rehabilitating from sports injuries. Each patient's unique condition means you will implement tailored approaches, fostering not only physical recovery but also emotional and psychological support.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist in Nevada.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home care settings or with similar patient populations will be highly regarded.
• Additional certifications in specialized rehabilitation areas (e.g., orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics) are a plus.
• Strong foundational knowledge of therapeutic interventions and modern rehabilitation methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
