Dietitian

Primarily responsible for providing expertise as a Registered Dietitians in all areas necessary.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

:

1. Perform QA audits of food and dining for assisted living and reflections residents.
2. Department of Health audit preparation as needed.
3. Menu review quarterly, make changes as necessary.
4. Maintenance and update of diet extensions, recipes, cycle menus, always available menus, and daily menus as needed.
5. Maintenance and update of diet manual in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
6. Provide dietary consults for current residents, resident family, and prospective residents as requested.
7. Staff education and training, staff in-services as necessary.
8. Oversee program development and implementation as needed.
9. Oversee dietetic interns including training and ongoing follow-up.
10. Professional speaking engagements for residents and community marketing events.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
• Completion of Masters Degree
• Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Registered to practice in New York State as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist
• Preferred experience of 3+ years in geriatric care and menu writing
