Position Details Position Type: Licensed-Elementary / Elementary Teacher Date Posted: 6/15/2026 Location: West Buncombe Elementary School Date Available: 08/17/2026 Closing Date: 06/21/2026 Percent Employed : 100% Months of Employment : 10 Position Type : Continuing Level of Benefits : Full benefits Pay Range : State Teacher Salary + [10.5% - 18% local supplement] Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. Click to view the Teacher job description. Minimum Degree Level Bachelor's Degree (click here for more info about Master's pay). Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License.
