Safety Specialist II

Work Schedule: Onsite/Field-based with routine visits to construction job sites, customer offices, and remote offices as needed We are partnering with a growing HVAC and construction company to identify an Safety Specialist II to join their team in Tucson, AZ. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships across teams, and driving a strong culture of safety within a construction and engineering environment. This role will primarily support their general contracting operations and offers the chance to play a hands‑on role in safety compliance, training, inspections, and risk mitigation across active job sites throughout Arizona. What the role involves Supporting and implementing environmental health & safety policies, procedures, and training programs across the organization Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments on construction project sites Monitoring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards while identifying and addressing workplace hazards Investigating incidents, documenting findings, and partnering with leadership to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence Preparing and facilitating safety trainings, including new hire orientation and OSHA‑related education Maintaining EHS documentation, reporting, metrics, and compliance records Partnering closely with project managers, supervisors, and field teams to develop practical safety solutions Assisting with PPE management, chemical documentation, and safety‑related process improvements Traveling throughout Arizona to support project sites, customer locations, and regional offices What our client is looking for 2+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience, ideally within construction, contracting, or a field‑service environment Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety compliance practices Strong communication skills with the ability to engage field employees, leadership teams, and large groups in training environments A proactive, service‑oriented mindset with the ability to influence and motivate others around safety best practices Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and related reporting platforms A valid driver’s license with a clean driving history Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field is preferred What’s in it for you The opportunity to join a growing organization that prioritizes safety as a core company value A collaborative team environment centered around servant leadership and continuous improvement Hands‑on exposure to a variety of construction and operational environments across Arizona Autonomy and visibility within a highly impactful, field‑facing role The chance to help shape and strengthen safety initiatives across a growing business #J-18808-Ljbffr
