Shipping Supervisor

Shipping Receiving u0026 Mail Services (SRM) is a diverse and nimble team that supports logistics activities across North America. Were seeking an experienced collaborative and highly motivated leader to join our team in Santa Clara Valley (SCV) as a Shipping be responsible for supervising the SCV Shipping Team which handles both domestic and international shipments. You will have oversight of our Shipping team as a working supervisor assisting your team members with daily operations and helping fill in for employee addition to shipping operations youll be expected to learn the functions of all other SCV SRM teams and provide backup supervisory support when the primary team supervisor is be expected to learn quickly and gain a deep understanding of all procedures performed by your team. Youll dig into the details to identify and implement process improvements help escalate and answer challenging questions and ensure operations are running is key to success at Apple and youll frequently work with other supervisors and managers to develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and conduct team trainings. Youll ensure job functions are performed in a safe manner by following Environment Health u0026 Safety procedures and performed in full compliance with Apple policy and applicable will be expected to hold regular team meetings and 1:1s with your direct reports continually providing coaching and guidance on areas for improvement. Youll co-develop and review an individual development plan with each of your reports on a quarterly basis at a minimum. Youll also need to be comfortable having challenging conversations and always remember to celebrate key achievements and should remain flexible and prepared for changes to the schedule including occasionally working early mornings evenings or weekends. You will also be expected to assist with after-hours requests as needed and complete other duties as assigned.n

Drive process improvement projects from initiation to completion including delegating and overseeing project assignments to your and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional Apple teams and external with SRMs other shipping teams and Shipping Program Manager to ensure process alignment across capture and analyze performance metrics to guide decision-making and present to senior your team members development by setting clear expectations recording performance assigning goals and stretch projects and providing prompt and actionable the operations of other SRM teams in order to provide backup supervisory coverage as needed including coordinating staffing coverage with other coordinate with SRM leadership to ensure successful daily operations of all receiving and delivery functions across the SCV SRM team. nPromote a collaborative work environment by setting and enforcing a high standard of professionalism and open communication in the workplace.

3 years experience working in a fast-paced logistics facility or similar environmentnAt least 1 year of experience leading a team as a supervisor or peer leadernStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers subject matter experts and leadership to develop trust and strong partnershipsnProven leadership and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous process in the following technical areas: scheduling or calendar software logistics tracking software database software Numbers or Excel and Pages or WordnAbility to lift up to 30 pounds move equipment bend/squat/kneel and reach above shoulders
