Job Description

We are hiring Data Center / Low Voltage Cable Technicians for a large, ongoing data center build in Brownsville, TX .

This is a high-volume project with multiple crews working both day and night shifts, 7 days per week . Candidates must be comfortable working regular overtime.We are looking for technicians with hands-on experience in structured cabling, low voltage, data centers, telecommunications, or network infrastructure .

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress, and install data cabling
• Install and work with Cat5e and Cat6 cable
• Perform rack and stack work
• Install racks, cabinets, and associated infrastructure
• Perform terminations and punchdowns
• Test and troubleshoot installed cabling
• Follow cable pathways, labeling, and installation requirements
• Work safely in an active data center/construction environment
• Work as part of a large installation team

Qualifications

• Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, data center, or telecommunications experience
• Experience pulling and installing Cat5e/Cat6 cable
• Rack and stack experience preferred
• Must have basic hand tools
• Must have basic PPE
• Must be comfortable working regular overtime
• Must be open to either day or night shift schedules
• Must be comfortable working on a site where personal phones are not permitted
• OSHA 10 is a strong plus
• Scissor lift certification is a strong plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Brownsville, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
