The Steward supports kitchen operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with basic food preparation. Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to company and Health Department standards.
- Prepare basic food items efficiently and accurately following approved recipes and production guidelines.
- Support kitchen staff by ensuring all tools, dishes, and equipment are readily available and properly stored.
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and food-handling regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with waste removal, dishwashing, and general kitchen organization.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and communicate effectively with culinary staff and leadership.
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
- Two or more years of culinary or kitchen experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift and move items as required for kitchen operations.
- Comfort working in environments with variable temperatures, lighting, and noise levels.
- Ability to safely handle kitchen tools, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and hot or wet surfaces.
- Compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
