Position Description: We are looking for a Professional Landscape Architect to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit or Grand Rapids, MI office. The candidate must have Professional Landscape Architect license, a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and have at least ten years of related experience, with a strong design background. The candidate must also be self‑motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid‑remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: Perform technical design of job (urban design, public space design, land development, recreation projects, etc.) from schematic design through construction document phase Develop design plans for urban planning, park, and urban design projects Articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineation Perform the required evaluation, selection, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet the project needs Prepare renderings, maps, and report graphics Perform site analysis Prepare construction documents Assist in master plan analysis Assist in writing proposals and technical presentations Deliver presentations at public meetings Research existing land use Prepare project specifications Research and complete permits as necessary Estimate construction costs Document design changes and communications Attend council or commission meetings Observe work in progress on‑site as needed Prepare design cost estimates Prepare project status reports Attend various meetings (client, pre‑design, pre‑construction, staff, public, etc.) Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture required Skills/Experience: 10 years of related experience required Professional Landscape Architect (RLA) or equivalent license required About Wade Trim: Wade Trim is committed to maximizing the value of infrastructure investments.
