Warehouse Associate Stand-Up Forklift Operator (Afternoon Shift, Contract)

Contract position through the end of October.

MondayFriday, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM shift.

Overtime opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift to pick, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
• Meet productivity goals of approximately 17 order lines picked per hour.
• Use RF scanners to pull, verify, and track customer orders accurately.
• Ensure correct product type, quantity, and location during order fulfillment.
• Palletize products, shrink-wrap pallets, and prepare orders for shipment or customer pickup.
• Complete and maintain accurate customer order tickets and documentation.
• Enter and update inventory data in SAP and other inventory management systems.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and warehouse team members during pickups and deliveries.
• Assist customers at dock doors and provide professional customer service.
• Resolve customer concerns related to orders, deliveries, and inventory availability.
• Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and forklift operating procedures.
• Support general warehouse operations, including stock organization and housekeeping.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with SAP or a comparable inventory management system.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience.
• Proven experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.
• Ability to palletize, shrink-wrap, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and drivers in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the afternoon shift schedule.

• Experience with order picking, truck loading/unloading, and dock operations.
• Ability to professionally handle customer issues and disputes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JESSUP, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
