Executive Director and Head of Alliance Management

Cytokinetics seeks a Senior Director of Alliance Management to lead strategic partnerships and licensing agreements across the organization's cardiovascular biopharmaceutical portfolio. This on-site role requires building and sustaining relationships with collaborators globally while driving cross-functional alignment, governance, and value realization at executive levels.
Responsibilities
- Serve as relationship lead for strategic alliances and licensing agreements aligned with corporate objectives
- Participate in Business Development team negotiations for new alliances and execution of ancillary agreements
- Lead alliance governance and performance monitoring while addressing risks and maximizing strategic value
- Drive cross-functional initiatives and executive decision-making through influence across organizational boundaries
- Deliver executive-level communications and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees
Requirements
- 12+ years of management experience in biopharma industry post-baccalaureate
- Demonstrated success leading complex strategic alliances with executive-level relationship management
- Strong scientific and business acumen in drug discovery, development, and commercialization
- Experience managing global alliances and regional licensing agreements across multiple jurisdictions
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or PhD)
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Proven ability working across international teams and time zones
Compensation: $283,500-$330,750 base per year
