Customer Service Representative 1 - Denver

Summary Description Receives questions from customers and follows established procedures to provide answers or refer calls to appropriate staff. Typical inquiries focus on order status, product information, account status, pricing, and product or service details. Essential Duties Field inbound customer service support calls, often during extended periods of high volume. Take sales calls and present required upsells, making compelling offers and asking for the sale. Apply active listening skills, interject and paraphrase appropriately to understand the customer’s needs. Troubleshoot customer service problems. Process orders in a fast‑paced environment. Provide knowledgeable answers about product, pricing and availability. Help customers navigate the website and place orders online. Work with internal departments to meet customers’ needs. Resolve product returns, shipping inquiries and order status questions. Perform other related job duties as assigned. Essential Job Skills and Experience Any combination that qualifies the candidate for successful performance will be considered: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (college coursework preferred but not required). One year of professional customer service experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or garage door industry preferred. Knowledge Thorough knowledge of products and quality standards; customer service principles and practices; extensive knowledge of product catalog and troubleshooting techniques. Skills Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, keyboarding and 10‑key skills, positive and professional demeanor, “Yes We Can” attitude, engaging verbal communication on the phone and in person, ability to handle high‑volume calls and a fast‑paced environment. Ability Efficiently network and coordinate work with customers and suppliers; manage time effectively to meet targets and deadlines; multitask in a fast‑paced environment; demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for customer service excellence while maintaining focus and positivity during challenging or complex problem resolution.
