Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Flexible weekly hours available (36, 40, or 48 hours per week) | 36-hour option: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 40-hour option: 2x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and 2x8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a hospital-based Birthing Unit on the night shift
• Perform and document electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) assessments throughout labor
• Circulating experience is required — candidates must be prepared to fulfill circulating duties as part of regular responsibilities
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support laboring patients and newborns
• Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies in accordance with established protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Circulating experience is required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• EFM certification at Intermediate level or higher required (recent)
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ALSO (Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics) certification
• Perinatal NCC Certification (Maternal Newborn Nursing – Level I and Postpartum, or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing – Labor and Birth)
• First Latch breastfeeding certification
