Waiter/Waitress

Job Description Our restaurant is looking for a waiter/waitress with remarkable hard skills and engaging people skills. The ideal candidate will multitask food and beverage orders and deliveries, while treating guests with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude. In this role, you will greet guests, seat them, help with menu recommendations, take and deliver orders (carry trays), clear tables, and handle cash and credit card transactions. You will also ensure guests are fully satisfied by being friendly, courteous, accommodating, and reliable, and you will act as a problem solver and team player. Responsibilities Taking orders and delivering food and beverages Helping guests with menu recommendations Providing an exceptional customer experience Greeting, seating, and escorting guests Up-selling additional products when appropriate Taking orders using software, order slips, or by memorization Communicating order details to kitchen staff Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion Delivering checks and collecting bill payments Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of tables and tableware All while following and adhering to standard operating procedures for IHOP Requirements Prior experience as a waiter/waitress Teamwork and communication skills Responsible handling of money transactions Ability to multitask and act quickly Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts High school diploma or equivalent Honesty and dependability Attention to detail and positive attitude #J-18808-Ljbffr
