First Coaching Assistant - Women's Basketball

Position Description The Department of Athletics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full‑time position at the rank of 1st Coaching Assistant (12‑month) for Women’s Basketball. The appointment will begin on August 10, 2026. Position Overview The Assistant Coach will coach and recruit at the collegiate level, provide leadership, and support the academic achievement and holistic development of student‑athletes in compliance with NCAA regulations. The role includes mentoring, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, and ensuring student‑athletes’ well‑being. Responsibilities The Assistant Coach assists with the daily operations of the Women’s Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, CCAA Conference, and California State University rules, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include coaching instruction, player development, recruiting, practice and game preparation, and supporting student‑athletes’ academic success and overall well‑being. Required Qualifications Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Bachelor’s degree. 1 to 3 years of successful NCAA Division I, II, or III basketball coaching experience. Preferred / Desired Qualifications Coaching experience at Division II level. Master’s degree. Benefits The 12‑month classification salary range is $6,288 to $7,658 per month. The anticipated hiring salary range is $6,288 to $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience.
