Pediatric Clinic LPN CNMCWe are currently looking for a Full Time Pediatric Clinic LPN CNMC to join our Pediatric Clinic Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Plans and provides routine patient care by utilizing, participating, and documenting the nursing process. Assists with patient teaching and discharge planning as guided by the RN and appropriate per nursing practice act and facility policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Administers CPR as needed according to Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and NIHSS CredentialingCalculates and safely administers all prescribed medications according to nursing standards and facility policy and protocolsAdvocates and participates in patient and patient family education i.e., diagnosis, medications and discharge instructionsProtects the patient's rights, dignity, and privacyAssessment of patients experiencing urgent, emergent, or non-emergent conditionsProvides and advocates age and culturally appropriate, holistic patient care based upon facility mission statements and as outlined in policies and proceduresImplements interventions appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patientFollows direction of the registered nurse in day to day operationsAdministers vaccinations under the oversight of the registered nurse and according to facility policyDocuments vaccines according to facility policySets up and cleans patient rooms and equipment per policyCollects patient data in initial screening and documents as necessaryAssists provider with diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, exams, specimen collection and other care as directedAssists with preparing orders for labs, tests, and medications per provider's directionNotifies patient of follow-up results as directed by providerAssists patients in scheduling appointmentsFacilitates communication between the patient and the medical staffFacilitates consults, referrals, and form completion as requested and approved by the medical staffFacilitates the check-in and check-out process with the patientParticipates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work areaMaintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulationsProvides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer typesCompletes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunitiesWorks in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all typesMaintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environmentMaintains and promotes professionalismPunctuality and consistency in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metricsAdheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standardsMaintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned areaPerforms all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Able to follow instructions, both written and oralAble to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirementsHonesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountabilityAble to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelinesPossess basic knowledge of medical terminologyLearn and apply Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Privacy Act, Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), Freedom of Information Act, Compliance Standards, Joint Commission Accreditation, and other various regulationsAble to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementCommunicates clinical information to patient in emergent or urgent settingsMaintains clear and complete employee health recordsSkills:Medication administrationExperience:No prior experience requiredEducation:High School, GED or EquivalentDiploma of NursingCredentials:Basic Life Support (BLS)Licensed Practical NurseMust pass internal Medication TestMust obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hireWorking Conditions:Fast-pacedWorks in a hospital or clinic environmentPotential exposure to biohazardsPotential exposure to contagious diseasesCommunications phone, computerCommunications written, verbalMay be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotionsInteracts with clinical, support, technical, professional or management staff in a variety of settings and situationsPass pre-employment drug testFrequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reachUse computer up to 25% of shiftFrequently assist with lifting patientsSometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbsStanding up to 100% of shiftWalking up to 100% of shiftInfrequent travel
