Job Location and Details Location: Avera Prince of Peace – Skilled Nursing Worker Type: Regular Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends (USA) Pay Range: $24.50–$48.50 per hour (actual pay based on experience) Position Highlights Varied shifts: 7:00 am–7:30 pm / 7:00 pm–7:30 am, 3rd week ends/holidays (72 hrs/2 weeks). Potential sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. New grads eligible to apply. Job Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends. Supports patients in understanding their conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; monitors changing conditions and re‑evaluates care objectives. Responsibilities Provides resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team. Coordinates with other healthcare providers; supports residents, families, and friends with physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual care. Develops nursing care plans: obtains medical histories, examines residents, documents conditions, and establishes objectives. Teaches healthcare requirements and instructs residents and families on medication and self‑care. Evaluates resident care against therapeutic standards and measures health outcomes. Maintains safe, secure care environment by following infection‑control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled‑substance regulations. Operates and troubleshoots resident care equipment; performs preventive maintenance and orders supplies. Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers; directs and plans workflow of nursing assistants and other staff. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities required by leadership. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the stated shifts. Must have adequate visual acuity and effective communication skills. Includes physical ability to perform job functions. Reasonable accommodations available within undue hardship. Required Education & Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) – active state license in the state of practice. Must be obtained upon hire.
