About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: NIH and Swallow Screen preferred Must-Have Skills: NIH and Swallow Screen preferred Experience in neuro is ideal Description: Must be able to start before the deadline to receive the rapid response rate. The facility is known for clinical excellence and nationally recognized patient outcomes. It offers specialized services including a Trauma Center, Intensive Care Nursery, and High-risk Obstetrical Care. A wide range of specialties is supported including Cardiovascular Care, Diabetes Care, General Surgery, and Client. All candidates must have complete and clear screenings before starting. Weekly orientation is provided on Mondays. All required clearances must be submitted before a candidate can be cleared. Fingerprinting and various clearances are necessary as part of the onboarding process. The unit has a 22-bed capacity with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1. Equipment utilized includes vital sign machines and cardiac monitors. The electronic health record system in use is EPIC. The patient population primarily includes adults. Candidates should be competent in managing dysrhythmia. A dysrhythmia and math dosage test will be administered on the first day of orientation. The candidate must be available during holidays as determined during the phone screening. The dress code includes scrubs of any color, but certain attire is prohibited. The initial assessment of personality fit will occur during the phone screening.
