Job Title: Shop Mechanic

1st shift - $25-$30

Job Description

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for the disassembly, repair, assembly, troubleshooting, and quality verification of complex mechanical equipment. This role requires independent judgment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of equipment with complex functions, using independent judgment
• Tear down and rebuild a variety of used industrial equipment
• Learn products through self‑study, hands‑on experience, and guidance from the Shop Supervisor
• Assist in all aspects of the rebuild and refurbishment process
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair battery-powered, air‑cooled, and water‑cooled combustion engines, including diesel, gas, and LP systems
• Safely use, maintain, and report on company tools, equipment, and property
• Complete work in a timely manner while exercising judgment to meet quality and cost targets

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or tech school diploma is a plus.
• 1 to 4 years of experience performing mechanical or electrical repairs.
• Automotive experience is a bonus
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
