Job Details Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/22/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Hard Stop Requirements Travel Experience Required – HARD STOP Minimum Experience: 1 year First-Time Travelers: Not accepted Certifications Required: BLS ACLS NIHSS (Preferred) Patient Population Adults to Geriatrics Unit Overview Overflow IMCU 32 beds Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 Nurse Scrub Color: Navy Blue Clinical Skills – Must Have Experience Cardiac & IMCU Competencies Arrhythmia management Cardioversion Cardiac CHF Chest pain management Post Cardiac Cath care TR Bands Care of patients post-PCI ( Required ) Hemodynamic monitoring ( Required ) Basic arrhythmia knowledge Cardiac drip knowledge ( Required ) Cardiac Drips Must Include Experience With: Amiodarone Cardizem Dobutamine Dopamine Nitroglycerin Milrinone Heparin Argatroban Aggrastat Bumex Lasix Medical & Surgical Competencies Renal patients Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema) PE, DVT Stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia Surgical cases (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains) DKA EVERYTHING under the Med/Surg umbrella Additional Patient Types (Overflow/Occasional) Vascular patients Ortho overflow CVA overflow (transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit) Unit Systems Epic (Preferred) Pyxis SBAR communication Scheduling & Work Expectations Weekends: Every other weekend (unless otherwise specified) Floating: Required within facility/scope of practice as needed Call: Rare; 2-hour response time Travelers typically do not manage Precedex (core staff assignment) RTO Maximum 7 days Holiday Requirements If holidays fall within the assignment period: If 1 major holiday falls → traveler expected to work it If 2 major holidays fall → traveler expected to work both If 3 major holidays fall → traveler expected to work 2 of the 3 Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving / Black Friday Christmas Eve / Christmas Day New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day Additional Notes Locals accepted – same rate PJ -HC (3180715) About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
