Description

American Traveler is hiring a Days MRI Technologist requiring 24 months of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a hospital setting in Des Moines, IA.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department at UnityPoint Health serving ED, inpatient, and outpatient patient populations
• Choice of Monday-Friday 7a-8a start with 3:30p/4:30p end, or alternating Week 1: 5x8s and Week 2: 4x10s, 40 hrs/week
• On-call requirements include one weeknight (Sun-Thurs) and one weekend (Fri/Sat) every 10th weekend
• Uses Siemens and GE MRI equipment with power injection contrast injections
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC Radiant experience highly preferred)
• May be required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
• 13-week assignment with 2 open positions

Requirements

• ARMRIT certificate or ARRT (R)(MR) certification required - license required if applicable
• Minimum 24 months of current MRI experience required
• Strong experience and proficiency with Siemens equipment required
• GE MRI equipment experience highly preferred
• Level I trauma experience preferred; Level II trauma experience highly preferred
• Current or recent hospital experience highly preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation
• First-time travelers may be considered
