Underwriting Associate - Real Estate Industrials

A leading real assets investment platform is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Investments team, with a focus on ground-up development and value creation across logistics and industrial assets . This role is based in Washington, DC. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in real estate private equity/development Prior exposure to industrial or logistics real estate strongly preferred , especially ground-up development Solid understanding of real estate development fundamentals, including construction timelines, cost structures, and entitlement processes Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree required; strong academic background preferred Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial team setting Key Responsibilities Support sourcing, underwriting, and execution of ground-up industrial development opportunities across key U.S. logistics markets Build and maintain detailed financial models for development, value-add, and core-plus industrial investments Conduct market research on industrial demand drivers, tenant profiles, rent trends, and supply/demand dynamics Assist in deal execution including due diligence, financing coordination, legal documentation, and closing processes Work closely with development partners, brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders through the full investment lifecycle Monitor construction progress, budgets, leasing activity, and ongoing asset performance Prepare investment memoranda, committee materials, and portfolio reporting for senior leadership Contribute to strategic initiatives around portfolio construction and market expansion #J-18808-Ljbffr Alexander Chapman
