SAP Systems Support Analyst

Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, enhancing, and optimizing SAP processes and integrations related to accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical SAP expertise with accounting knowledge and the ability to work closely with end users to improve business processes and system functionality. This position works cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to analyze business needs, resolve system issues, support reporting requirements, and implement SAP enhancements that improve efficiency and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day SAP support for Accounting and Finance users, including troubleshooting system issues and resolving process gaps
• Partner with Accounting stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support and maintain SAP financial modules, reports, interfaces, workflows, and custom developments
• Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation
• Develop, modify, and support SAP programs and enhancements using ABAP
• Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of SAP changes and system upgrades
• Create and maintain functional and technical documentation, process flows, and user procedures
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting support activities as needed
• Work closely with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and implement enhancements
• Participate in projects related to SAP optimization, integrations, and process improvements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting SAP environments in a Business Analyst, SAP Analyst, or similar role
• Strong ABAP development and troubleshooting experience required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes required
• Experience supporting SAP FI/CO and PRA modules strongly preferred
• Upstream oil and gas accounting process knowledge preferred
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment and Physical Conditions

• Office-based position located in Oklahoma City, OK
• Occasional after-hours support may be required during system upgrades, implementations, or critical accounting periods
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
• Must follow all Mustang Fuel Corporation safety procedures and report potential hazards or incidents immediately
